Role Overview
Iolen is looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a strong specialization in Product Packaging and Label Design. In this role, you will be the key creative force behind our "Label and Packaging" service line, helping clients transform their products into shelf-ready brands. You will work across varied industries (FMCG, Retail, Pharma, etc.) to create designs that are not only visually stunning but also technically accurate for print.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packaging & Label Design
- Conceptualize and execute high-quality packaging designs, bottle labels, pouches, boxes, and sleeves that align with the client’s brand identity.
- Translate "Brand & Rebranding" strategies into physical product visuals that maximize shelf appeal.
- Create accurate die-lines and layouts for various packaging structures.
2. Print-Ready Production
- Prepare final press-ready files ensuring strict adherence to printing standards (CMYK color mode, high resolution, bleed settings, and spot colors/Pantones).
- Liaise with printing vendors to ensure the final output matches the digital design (checking proofs, materials, and finishes like UV, foiling, or embossing).
3. Visualization & Mockups
- Create realistic 3D mockups using Photoshop to help clients visualize the final product before production.
- Support the "Marketing Solutions" team by providing product visuals for social media and advertising campaigns.
Required Software Proficiency
- Adobe Illustrator (Expert): For creating scalable vector graphics, complex die-lines, and typography.
- CorelDRAW (Expert): Essential for drafting precise technical layouts and coordinating with print vendors who prefer Corel formats.
- Adobe Photoshop (Advanced): For photo manipulation, texturing, and creating realistic product mockups.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: [X]+ years of experience specifically in packaging/label design or a print-focused creative role.
- Technical Print Knowledge: Deep understanding of printing processes (Offset, Digital, Flexography), paper qualities, and finishing techniques.
- Typography & Color Theory: Strong eye for fonts and color palettes that work well on physical materials.
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating actual printed samples of labels, boxes, or packaging materials.
